The Department of Business and Professional Regulations

The Department of Business and Professional Regulations is the regulatory agency charged with licensing and regulation more than one thousand businesses and professional practitioners in the State of Florida, including text port terminals, payday loan referral service providers, real estate brokers and title companies. The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulations also offers an Online Test to Professionals seeking GAP, TQP, and GMRE licenses. To take the online test, interested parties simply visit the Department’s website. Upon selecting the appropriate licensing option, applicants will be provided with instructions on how to proceed with the examination. This examination costs $15. Test takers must first complete a training course.
In addition, there are a number of community colleges in Florida that provide GAP, TQP, and GMRE licenses. Community colleges in Florida can also help students who are interested in starting up their own businesses.
