Vampire parrot
Vampire parrot, also known as Dracula Parrot or the vulture parrot, is a bird widespread to hill and mountain rain forest in New Guinea. With it’s black and red plumage and vulture-like appearance, this bird is truly amazing.
Regardless of it’s name, the Dracula/vampire Parrot is truly not bloodthirsty at all. It feeds almost entirely on just a few species, and with such a specialized diet it’s one of the creatures that was endangered before it was ever designated “vulnerable”.
